A Short Comic About Comic-Making, 2020

I was selected to be one of the Adobe Creative Residency Community Fund 2020 recipients in December, 2020. I had the opportunity to start a new adventure and work on a short comic about comic-making.

Project Concept

I made a comic about how to make comics in my own way. The main reason for making this project was to support and inspire other young creatives to make their own comics.

My project is in four steps, which aims to make understanding comic-making easier. I show my process of making comics with my short story, creatives read it and they can try to make their own ones in a joyful way. Additionally, they can learn live-drawing, visual recording, using panels for telling a visual story, making comics using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, creating their color palettes, documenting their process, creating their texture archives and implementing them to their comics.

My main strategy is indicating that everyone can make comics. Creatives, especially aspiring and early-stage ones, only need simplicity and practice as the first step.
